The Schaap Center is thrilled to announce its grand opening! To celebrate, the Schaap Center is hosting two events:

Opening Matinee!


Sunday, November 30: 1pm – 3pm – $55.20 per ticket (includes fees)

Performances will begin at 2:00 PM, featuring a special production from program partners such as Grosse Pointe Theatre, Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra, Eisenhower Dance Company, and others.

Enjoy live entertainment, light refreshments, and beverages, along with great company. Proceeds from the matinee will directly support the Schaap Center’s inaugural year of programming and operations, helping bring exceptional arts experiences to our community.

Gala Party!


Wednesday, December 3: 6pm – $268.61 per ticket (includes fees)

Celebrate the grand opening with an unforgettable evening at the Schaap Center Gala Party, celebrating the grand opening of the region’s newest home for the performing and visual arts.

Enjoy a festive evening with hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages included in your ticket, while mingling with fellow arts enthusiasts and community supporters.

At 7:00 PM, our program partners—including Grosse Pointe Theatre, Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra, Eisenhower Dance Company, and others—will take the stage for a special theatrical and musical production created just for this occasion.
